Vangard Projects was awarded the contract for the supply and installation of a telemetry system for the Delmas Municipality Water Reticulation System. The system comprises of an ozone treatment plant, 18 boreholes and a number of reservoirs and booster pump stations. All the stations are monitored and controlled by means of the Miri AD2000 series telemetry units, linked to a Adroit SCADA system for monitoring, control, alarming and reports
2015Vangard Projects has completed the installation of the telemetry systems for Newcastle and Dundee Municipalities, as well as a water monitoring and control system in the Opathe/Muden area of KwaZulu Natal for uThukela Water.
Sembcorp Silulumanzi has standardized on the telemetry solutions supplied by Vangard Projects for their water management system. They have a 4 InTouch SCADA control rooms located at the different regional treatment plants from White River, Nelspruit, Kanyamazane and Matsulu, all linked to a central control room and their head office. The telemetry systems are MIRI AD2006 series units, communicating via radio networks, GSM, SMS and GPRS.
Swaziland Water Services Corporation has elected Vangard Projects and the Miri AD2006 telemetry system to upgrade and replace their obsolete system. The system currently consists of 90 pump stations and reservoirs throughout Swaziland, displayed on Adroit SCADA platforms at all their main regional centres. All pump stations are remotely controlled via the telemetry system.
2014Rustenburg Municipality has standardized on the Miri AD2006 telemetry system to monitor and control their water reticulation system. The system currently consists of an Adroit SCADA with 20 pump stations and reservoirs. All pump stations are controlled via the telemetry system either by operator or in full automatic mode.
2011Miri AD2006 telemetry system was the client’s choice for their telemetry system installed at the Tenke Fungurume Copper mine in the DRC. The system consists of multiple boreholes supplying water to the mine, and also monitors the levels in the slimes dam and flood water storage system.
2010Using an internally designed and locally manufactured controller, Vangard Projects supplied and installed over 200 alarm systems in hospitals throughout Southern Africa. In addition to the local alarming functionality, these units have SMS alarming and historical logging capability.
2009Vangard Projects was appointed to manufacture and supply a 12m containerized MCC for Mutanda Mine. The MCC consists of Siemens equipment comprising multiple VSD’s, soft starter, DOL and star delta starters. Included with the panel is a S7-300 PLC with fibre optic communications for control and monitoring to the mine’s control centre.
